Our Mission
Our mission is to empower BIPOC youth by breaking down the barriers that limit their access to quality education and resources, particularly in the arts, trades, and workforce development. We are dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community through arts education, skilled trades training, S.T.E.A.M. initiatives, and entrepreneurship. By guiding them towards success, we aim to promote equity and inclusion, ensuring that BIPOC youth are equipped to thrive in the workforce and beyond.

At Raw Talent Performing Arts, we recognize that effective learning is facilitated by experienced and knowledgeable instructors. We are committed to delivering outstanding multidisciplinary arts instruction, and our comprehensive training and staff development programs equip our teachers to create personalized curricula that cater to the individual needs of each student. "Our focus is the WHOLE student."
Commitment to Excellence
At Raw Talent Performing Arts, equity is at the core of everything we do. We are committed to providing BIPOC youth from historically under-resourced Chicago neighborhoods with access to high-quality, culturally relevant arts education. Through trauma-informed teaching, racial healing, and youth-led programming, we empower young people to express themselves, heal, and lead.
We hire and support BIPOC teaching artists, pay equitable wages, and build partnerships with schools and organizations like Chicago Public Schools, Youth Guidance, and the Reva and David Logan Center to ensure our programs reflect and uplift the communities we serve.

"I had a great time in the Business Bootcamp class. Even though I didn't make it to all sessions, the ones I attended were very informative and relatable and I left with a lot of pointers to get myself on the right track and I am now confident to follow through with my plan of action."
